Appearance: white crystalline solid, odorless, hygroscopicity. Melting point 124 ~ 130℃. The boiling point of 210 ℃. Density (21℃) 1.06g/cm3. Flash point is 129 ℃. Spontaneous ignition point 399℃. The sublimation temperature is 210℃. Soluble in water, low alcohol, low ketone, ether and aromatic compounds.
USES: mainly used in the production of unsaturated resin, polyester powder coating, non-oil alkyd resin, polyurethane foam plastics, namely elastomer plasticizer, synthetic plasticizer, surfactant, insulating materials, printing ink, polymer inhibitor, synthetic aviation oil additives, etc. In addition, it is also used in the pharmaceutical industry. At the same time, neopentyl glycol is an excellent solvent and can be used for selective separation of aromatic hydrocarbons and cycloalkyl hydrocarbons.
