Description: white granular or crystalline powder. Slight smell of formic acid. It's hygroscopic. At high temperatures it breaks down into sodium oxalate and hydrogen, which in turn makes sodium carbonate. Dissolve in about 1.3 parts of water. Soluble in glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol, its aqueous solution is neutral, pH is 7. Relative density 1.92. Melting point is 253 ℃. It's stimulating. Commodities often contain 2 molecules of crystalline water.
