The solubility of calcium formate changed little with the increase of temperature, 16g/100g water at 0℃ and 18.4g/100g water at 100℃. Specific gravity: 2.023(20℃), heap density 900-1000g/L. The decomposition temperature was >400℃.

1. As a new feed additive. Calcium formate was fed to increase weight, and calcium formate was used as feed additive for piglets. Calcium formate is added to the feed in a neutral form. After feeding, the piglets will dissociate trace formic acid through the biochemical action of digestive tract, thus achieving the purpose of reducing the PH value of gastrointestinal tract. It can promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in digestive tract and reduce the disease of piglets. Adding 1.5% calcium formate to the feed during the first few weeks of weaning increased growth rate by more than 12% and feed conversion rate by 4%.

2. Use it in architecture. Quick solidifying agent, lubricant, early strength agent for cement. Used in building mortar and various kinds of concrete to accelerate the hardening speed of cement, shorten the setting time, especially in winter construction, to avoid low temperature setting speed too slow. Quick demoulding, so that cement as soon as possible to improve the strength into use. Calcium formate USES: all kinds of dry mixed mortar, all kinds of concrete, wear-resistant materials, floor industry, feed industry, tanning. Dosage of calcium formate and precautions the dosage of dry mortar and concrete per ton is about 0.5~1.0%, and the addition amount is 2.5%. The dosage of calcium formate is with the decrease of temperature and increase gradually, even in the summer to apply the amount of 0.3-0.5%, will also play a significant early strong effect

3. Market studies at home and abroad have shown that adding 1% ~ 1.5% calcium formate to the diet of piglets can significantly improve the performance of weaned piglets. The German study found that adding 1.3% calcium formate to the diet of weaned piglets could improve the feed conversion rate by 7% ~ 8%, and adding 0.9% could reduce the occurrence of diarrhea in piglets.
